Dachshund is a dog animal family members are short-legged and long bodied. Type the name comes from the German language which literally means “beaver dog,” from (der) Dachs “beaver” and (der) Hund “dog”. Standard size was developed to sniff, chase, and hunt the beaver and other animals that live in holes in the ground, while the mini size used for hunting rabbits.Because of the long thin body, this dog is sometimes called in the United States and in other places as a dog or a hot dog sausage dog, though the names are sometimes considered to be insulting. Although the name of this dog, dachshund, came from Germany, in Germany alone this kind of well-known official and unofficial, as Dackel or Teckel. In Indonesia, due to the influence of the Netherlands, this dog is also known by the name Dachshund.
